Character and Integrity

Jan 23, 2025

Dear Parents,

As I was sitting in our chapel today hearing our grade 5 students share with us about Integrity, I was reminded as to why I choose to send my own children to Trinity to receive a Christian education. In a world where truth and morality is subjective, we heard what the Bible has to say about our character and what true integrity looks like. This was coupled with songs about praise and giving our hearts to Jesus.

These are exactly the types of things I want my children to hear and be exposed to. It is all part of providing them with a strong, Biblical foundation that will help them to be prepared for life in this world. When thinking about the partnerships that help to create that foundation, I like the analogy of a three legged stool. We know that a triangle is the strongest shape. In this case, it is the combination of home, church, and school that communicate the same core values that provide stability for a child.

In the same way, we have a triune God that is the Trinity of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. As they work together, they provide the whole that keeps us complete. This is what our children need to learn and understand to have true success in our world from a Biblical sense.

We also thrive when we are in a community that shares and reinforces those values. They provide an extra layer of protection to the foundation, in order to complement it and continue building on the foundation.

With this in mind, this is why I am willing to make the investment and sacrifice necessary to send my children to a Christian school, specifically Trinity. I also hear from you as parents that this is why you too have joined our school. It is good to remind ourselves though of the why we do what we do, as it focuses our attention on what is most important.

Blessings,

J-D Lussier, Principal
