Giving Thanks

Oct 10, 2019

Dear Parents,

As we enter Thanksgiving weekend, I feel that it is an important time to reflect on the various ways that God has abundantly blessed us. During our staff devotionals this Monday, we took some time to write down what we are thankful for as a staff. Our students and parent community came up on multiple occasions, as we feel so blessed to have you in our lives.

Last Thursday during our chapel time, our grade 6 class shared the various things that they are thankful for at Trinity. Here are some of their unsolicited comments:

“I am thankful for teachers who teach us new things. I am thankful for all the fun activities we can do at school because it makes school more fun! I am thankful for friends because they encourage me if I can’t do something.”

“I am thankful that we have teachers that teach us very well and help us when we need it. I feel that God’s bright light shines within Trinity.  Sometimes when I am riding my bike to school really early I have seen a bright sunbeam shining from the woods.”

“I am thankful for a large schoolyard, so we can run and play.
I am thankful that we can learn and talk about Jesus because they can’t learn about him in public school.”

“I am thankful for Christian teachers because they are such loving, kind, compassionate teachers who try their best to lead us to Jesus. I am very blessed to be able to go to a Christian school.I am thankful for Chapel because it helps us as students to learn more about Jesus, as our theme of the year is Reflecting His Light.”

“This school is one of the Joys in my life and I think what makes this school so great is the teachers.
I cherish Trinity like it is my second home. It may be one of my favourite places other than my home.”

“I’m thankful that we can learn about GOD because it helps us in life when we need it.”
I certainly couldn’t articulate what I am thankful for about our school better than what these students have done. In closing, I would like to share the word of Psalms 9:1, “I will give thanks to you, LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonderful deeds.”

Sincerely,
J-D Lussier, Principal

Value of Christian Education

Dear Parents, What is the value of a Christian education or more specifically a Trinity Christian School education? While we can assign a price tag, it is hard to add up the value in dollars and cents. It is really about what a student takes away and how they have...
