Kindergarten at Trinity: A Great Place To Start

Apr 3, 2015

Where to send your son or daughter to kindergarten is a very important decision, considering the fact that children in this age group are developing so fast. They are expanding their language skills, learning to use logic and determining their own personality and learning styles. They’re making those first steps towards basic reading and writing, important milestones for future academic success. Although many kindergarten programs emphasize academic quality, the program at Trinity is also anchored in the conviction that God’s truth is the foundation for all true learning. The curriculum is Christ-centred and God is clearly shown to be relevant in all that is taught and presented.

Kindergarten also provides students with an opportunity to establish relationships with their peers. Parents want a safe school for their children with an emphasis on basic common values. At Trinity, students learn to treat others according to God’s Word and they are given opportunities to work out these precepts every day. The children not only learn, play and work together; they also pray together. In all our interactions, our desire is to reinforce the teaching of the church and home as we assist Christian parents as they raise their children.

Are your friends wrestling with the decision of where to send their four or five year olds for school next year? If so, I would like to recommend that you invite them to attend the Trinity Kindergarten Information Day being held on Friday, April 10, from 9:00-10:45 am. The visit will include coffee and an information session in the gym, an overview of the JK and SK curriculum with our kindergarten teachers, and a ride on a school bus. Kindergarten at Trinity is a great place for children to start to develop their gifts for service in God’s world. We are looking forward to seeing everyone there.
