Prayer

Jan 17, 2025

Dear Parents,

As we welcomed our Pastors this morning for breakfast, we talked about a theme that touches all of us: Prayer. It is what connects us to God, but also unites us as brothers and sisters in Christ.

Our Prayer Team took time to answer important questions about prayers such as; “What is Prayer?”, “Why do we pray?”,  “When do we pray?” and “What do we pray for?”. Regardless of the age of our students, staff, or pastors, what is key is that we can all talk to God as we develop our relationship with Him. A verse that particularly grounds us is Jeremiah 29:11-13 which says, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.”

Time and again God shows Himself faithful in this promise, but it takes action on our part. While the Lord has great plans for us, He directs us to “call”, “come”, “pray”, and “seek”. Only then will He listen and be found. In doing this, we develop our relationship with God, allowing us to display and receive God’s love in the process.

As a school, we depend so much on prayer, whether that is for protection, strength, wisdom, and so much more. Over the next few weeks, our students will be participating in a Prayer Challenge in their classrooms. Our request is that you will intentionally take some time to pray for our school during that time and we hope you will continue to pray throughout the year for us, if you don’t do so already. Imagine how much we could accomplish for God’s glory if we all committed to praying together for our school and community.

Blessings,

J-D Lussier, Principal
