We Are Off!

Sep 10, 2020

Dear Parents,

We are off! The school year has officially begun after well over a month of preparations in the school. This also marks the end of the longest March break in history. All jokes aside, the last months have certainly been a rollercoaster with many highs and lows.

What amazes me is that with every challenge we face, God always responds with His grace and provision. In the last month alone, we have experienced financial difficulties due to COVID. In response to our prayers, God has provided us with new families and money from the government through the Wage Subsidy program.

Last week, we had yet another unexpected trial when we learned of the passing of Mrs. DeGroot’s husband. It is one of those moments where we do not understand, but trust in God’s sovereignty. What we do know is that nothing catches God by surprise, as He had already made provisions for Mrs. Schaafmsa to be available to step in full time during Mrs. DeGroot’s absence.

While we certainly don’t know what this school year will bring, what we can count on is that God will be faithful and with us every step of the way. We are called to Stand Firm in our Faith, as is the theme for this school year.

My prayer for our community is that we do not lose sight of this. Regardless of what your child might be feeling or what you are going through as a parent, may you find your strength in God and be reminded that He alone can help us to stand firm through every storm we face.

Sincerely,
J-D Lussier, Principal
